Salt Spray Testing 

The ASTM B117 &  ISO 9227 Salt Spray Test, also known as the Salt Fog Test, follows strict procedures. This includes corrosive testing of a material in a controlled environment, which has been used to determine relative corrosion resistance for metal and coated metal specimens.

For specimens of metals and coated metals exposed in a standardised corrosive environment, the salt spray test is used to produce relative corrosion resistance information. In addition to surface finish and accelerated ageing testing, Sohm provides ASTM B117 & ISO 9227  accelerated corrosion testing.
